The last few days I've come across stores full of vending machines, with no attendant!
I wonder if this would work in the States. I doubt vending machines would make enough to pay the high rent of a space. Also, nothing could quite replace customer service... Right?
From watching so much Travel Channel and Discovery, no I don't think it's rare to see that. In the states yes might not work, but Asia and Europe see huge numbers of non-staffed vending machines..ask your family for the 'Pizza' vending machine I saw once- a maching that literally makes margerita pizza!! And in the Middle East, it is very common to see Gold Bars Vending Machines in Dubai, Emirates, etc... -Danny A.
